From Build to Ready: Pink Slip Pivot (Free Toolkit)
What Got Built
Pink Slip Pivot is live.
It’s a free thinking toolkit for people navigating layoffs, career disruption, or sudden shifts in how their role operates inside a system optimizing for speed.
No email required. No signup. No tracking.
Just six pages designed to help you find footing when the ground shifts.
Open the toolkit: pinkslippivot.com
You can view it immediately—no account required. If you want to duplicate and customize it for yourself, you’ll need a free Notion account (takes 30 seconds to set up). Once signed in, click the ••• menu in the top-right corner and select “Duplicate.”
WHY IT EXISTS
This toolkit emerged from a pattern I couldn’t ignore.
Over six months, I ran 1:1 strategy conversations—what I called Pink Slip Pivot sessions—with people navigating layoffs and career disruption during AI transformation.
What people needed most wasn’t advice. It wasn’t a resume refresh or a five-step pivot plan.
It was space to think without pressure.
Space to separate who they are from the role that disappeared.
Space to recognize what they were carrying before exit and what they’re not required to carry forward.
That’s what this toolkit provides.
WHAT THE COMMUNITY HELPED SURFACE
When I shared the Micro-Experiments tool and the Claude Skills approach, something shifted. People didn’t just use the tools—they helped me see what was actually useful versus what was just clever.
That feedback shaped everything: the tone, the structure, the decision to make Claude Skills optional rather than required.
This toolkit is better because it was built with people in transition, not just for them.
WHAT’S INSIDE
The toolkit has six pages. You can use them in order, out of order, or skip straight to what feels most pressing.
What’s True Right Now — A space to name where you actually are, not where you “should” be
From Title to Toolkit — Separate your capabilities from the role that disappeared
Were You Aligning, Guarding, or Repositioning? — Recognize what posture you were in before exit (and what it cost you)
2-Way Fit Finder — Clarify what you need and what you offer—both matter
Micro-Experiments — Small moves to test direction without commitment
What You’re Not Required to Carry — Permission to stop performing recovery
I’ve included optional Claude Skills for three of the toolkits. If you’ve been curious about trying an AI companion that can help you think through specific scenarios, here’s your chance to try it out. But everything works perfectly well without Claude Skills.
CLOSING: IT’S YOURS
This toolkit is complete as-is. I won’t be iterating it based on metrics or feedback loops. It does what it’s designed to do.
If you’re in transition right now—or you know someone who is—the toolkit is here: pinkslippivot.com
You can also find it on StackShelf alongside my other toolkits.
Use it. Share it. Duplicate it. Ignore it.
All of those are exactly right.
You’re not behind.

Dee thank you for sharing this wonderful resource. I think you are spot on with taking the time to think. Many of us go right into reaction and solution mode and we miss opportunities to truly focus on what it is we want to do. You are such a wonderful advocate for the betterment of a person and I am so grateful that we were able to work together. 🩷
Super helpful Dee! Thanks for curating this.
